Makdous Muhammara

Spreads, Dips & Dressings

I ate a version of this at the excellent Orfali Brothers Bistro in Dubai recently. They had little dollops of it on a delicious eggplant dish and it really added a lovely background hum to the dish. When I saw Makdous Muhammara on the menu, I immediately knew how delicious it would be and had to try and create my own. It's perfect for dipping vegetables or crackers in, or spreading on a sandwich, or as an extra little finishing element in a roasted vegetable dish or maybe with smoked lamb chops?? My mind is running wild at the possibilities! I hope you love it as much as I do. Oh, and if you're at a loss for what makdous is, please see my description in this recipe intro. And yes, you can find them on Amazon!
