Read article"Diplomatic Spouses Association of Lebanon organized a cooking class with American Chef Sally Jane who just set up her own kitchen space in Achrafié. The idea of last Friday’s cooking session was to prepare something easy and healthy, so we cooked a chilled cucumber soup with roasted jumbo shrimp; Istanbul style zucchini fritters with lime yoghurt sauce; and a roasted red pepper and cherry tomato pearl barley salad. The dessert was a surprise by our Chef Sally: a basil infused ice cream with caramelised pine nuts! All turned out to be very tasty. While cutting and chopping we constantly threw questions at our chef and got a lot of great tips to take home into our own kitchen. The menu was indeed not very difficult to cook and we are sure that we will try everything at home. DSAL wants to thank Chef Sally for hosting the workshop – we had a lot of fun."
